The Kitchener-Waterloo Council of Churches is a community of Christian congregations. It seeks to provide a network by journeying together and following the good news that Jesus preached and lived. The essence of the good news is the love of God as revealed in the dying and rising of Jesus Christ.
Jesus calls all of creation to return to an intimate relationship with God and to be a faithful reflection of God’s purpose. This is to be lived out in justice and peace, nurtured by the spirit and grace of God.
The Council invites denominations to work together by responding to needs in our community, and by fostering respect and understanding for other faiths, religions and philosophies.
Why be a member?
• to strengthen the integrity of the Christian community in Kitchener-Waterloo by sitting down a few times a year and breaking bread together as one people;
• to catch a glimpse of the church as multi-denominational and multi-cultural;
